I plopped down in my seat with a scowl. How dare she?

I have no idea what I did to deserve that.

I pondered silently to myself for a solution of what I could tell my parents.

Surely my harsh homeroom teacher would call for that.

I yawned and sighed, watching, waiting...

The clock ticked... minute by minute... second by second.

"Come on already!" I hissed in my head.

My knuckles paled as I clenched my fists.

I needed to get out of that classroom immediately, or I would die in my claustrophobia.

Nick looked over his shoulder at me and frowned. He knew something was wrong. He knew all too well.

Suddenly, the bell wailed. "School's out until next week!" yowled a kid.

I almost broke out in a fit of laughter, but I knew I would get written up again.

Nick got up first and yanked me to our chain of lockers, giving me a brief embrace.

"What happened?" he asked me worriedly. "Nothing," I replied shyly.

"Nothing is always something with you, Kara-bear. Now tell me. What's happening with you and Mrs. Anger Issues?"

"Nothing!" I shouted. I grabbed lock and ripped it off my locker, flustering around inside.

Nick watched contentedly, crossing his arms.

His eyes burned into my spine as I ripped frantically through my stuff.

I grabbed my back pack and strode quickly down the hall.

I avoided my grademates quite easily, taking a left or a right to dodge them.

----

I sat down in the back of my bus; alone.

I glared through the window as we flew down the street, eventually reaching my stop.

I hopped off and began to gallop home, snorting. I had no excuses.

What could I possibly do now?

I walked into my house and dipped. My bookbag slid off of my arm and landed next to my shoes and coat.

"Kara!" shouted my dad from upstairs. My heart raced, "Nick is calling you!" he added.

My pulse slowed. Thank god for him.

I raced up the steps and grabbed the phone, rushing down into my bedroom and slamming the door.

"Whew... I'm real sorry for earlier," I whispered.

"No worries," he said. I smiled.

"Soo..... you were written up, right?" he asked.

"Yeah. Unfortunately. Why can't she pick on Judah for once? I hate him."

"But you feel sorry for him."

"So!?"

Nick laughed. It was fuzzy. ''Well we'll just have to change your status, now won't we?"

I immediately knew what he was considering in his twisted little mind. "... oh no."
Oh god. Finally, chapter two of Natural Disasters. Enjoy~
